- Wedding: April 2012
I finally received my disk back with my pro pictures from our amazing fairytale 4/14/12 wedding. I have shown some of the pictures from our photographer’s blog and the SMP post but they really do not show the day – just some of the pretty details. So here is my recap finally! All pictures were taken by the amazing Chelsea Nicole (http://www.chelseanicole.com)
Even though we lived together and this was a second marriage for both of us we decided to spend the night before our wedding apart. My daughter and I spent the night at the fabulous Four Seasons Las Vegas in a beautiful suite and then got up, ate a good breakfast (which was fantastic because we did not eat again until the reception that afternoon). I woke up too a cloudy, blustery, cool, rainy day which is very unlike normal April weather in Las Vegas. It did not bother me though, I was just so excited.
So our hair and make up artist came to us to get us ready . . .
Me with my icky straight baby fine hair before
Here is my moh – my daughter getting her first pair of fake lashes lol
I put on my stockings which included my something blue
put on my dress and then my petticoat – this led to one of my favorite pics
Cath helped me finish getting ready . . .
Then I took a minute to sit and catch my breath while Cath slipped on her dress . . .
and while I relaxed in the bedroom, Andy finished getting gussied up in the other room. He put on his cufflinks (Trekkies unite 🙂 )
And straightened out his polka dot socks . . .
Once we were all gussied up – we got to do our first look
I love the look on his face when he first saw me
And we spent a few minutes just talking and sharing
Then we took some picture of the wedding party – very small for us but we were all laughing and having a good time. Love Savannah my new cousin and our adorable flower girl
The guys were hilarious! My son is the usher and Andy’s brother was his best man
Before I knew it – it was time for the ceremony
I had gotten teary eyed during the first look but just a little
but then I watched my beautiful Mother-In-Law being escorted by my son and started crying which I did most of the ceremony – sigh
and even though I had not planned this when it was my time to walk down the aisle, when I saw my Daddy glowing at me with pride – I stopped and kissed my parents and my mil
And then we saw each other and I can tell you that the first look does not take away from seeing each other at the ceremony. Even though it was not time, we immediately grabbed each others hands and held them for the whole ceremony
One of my favorite moments was looking back at our friends and family as they promised to support us in our marriage
Then he slipped the ring on my finger
and after a beautiful, prayerful, wonderful ceremony we were pronounced husband and wife and got to kiss . . .
and then that fabulous moment when you head down the aisle and you realize that you are married
And we headed out really truly married – sorry about all the pictures and it took discipline to cut down to this number and there will be a part 2 with the reception and afterwards . . .
