I agree with you. WB is a place I love coming to, because there is community here. Everyone is nice/kind (with a few exceptions that usually end up being banned). I try my very best to never, ever say anything that could come across as rude. And if I feel like my response to something will be rude, I simply don’t post. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Creiddylad:  Your post looks good to me! And I wholeheartedly agree with you! I love this site because people are so nice, but I have been seeing terrible comments lately! I don’t know what I would do if someone wrote nasty remarks to me  like seen I’ve seen around lately!

These things seem to go in cycles, someone makes a post similar to this, then eventually the site calms down for a while. This too shall pass ๐Ÿ™‚

your post looks good to me and i’m on safari. ๐Ÿ™‚ i used to be a member of the other site but i couldn’t stand the bitchiness and judgmental attitudes over there. i wish i had known about this site when i was wedding planning. it’s nice that there are non-wedding related boards so i can use the site even though my wedding is over. ๐Ÿ™‚ i’ve noticed a lot of mean stuff lately. i tend to stay off those threads or not comment because i don’t want to get into it with strangers on the internet. i definitely feel like if someone doesn’t have something constructive to say to the OP then just don’t comment.

I 100% agree. I do think, however, that this meanness and rudeness is inevitable when you have a large group of women (let’s face it, we can ALL be kind of bitchy sometimes) from different walks of life that don’t always relate to one another talking about sometimes very personal issues. Plus, this is the interent, and we all know we can’t relay tone very well, so things can sometimes be taken the wrong way.

(I hope I don’t seem stereotypical and rude saying this. The stereotype that women are catty had to come from somewhere.)

The good thing is that we are also very supportive, kind, and empathetic in nature, which is why this site is so great, and why I think people feel safe enough to post things deeply personal to them without fear of getting ripped apart.

I agree, to a point.  Honestly, this is a forum for opinions, and sometimes people misinterpret opinions as rudeness.  Sometimes people post things that ask for outright opinions (“Do you like this necklace?”) and then get mad when people post contrary opinions.

Sometimes posts are rude.  Sometimes, though, they just don’t fall into the popular opinion on the topic.  I hate being in the minority on some posts because I always feel like I’m going to get ridiculed for having a dissenting opinion.
