I LOVED having guest photos. I’ve seen enough threads on here of people getting shitty photos, photogs losing them/extorting for more money.

My officiant asked people to turn their phones on silent and stay seated if they wanted to take pictures. It was kind of funny because my husband was also reminded and took his phone out of his pocket and put it on silent lol.

We asked that people turn off their phones for the ceremony – it was ten minutes long, people will survive.  I don’t care for the request of “be present” – yeah we know, we are at wedding. Please no signs, no one reads them.  People will be discreet in their picture taking, I was more concerned with someone getting a friggin phone call during the ceremony!!! LOL!  (No one did!)

Nancy6223: Yeah, considering my ceremony was only ten minutes long….yeah…..they can hold it. People were not chatting on cell phones during the reception either! Plus those cutsey ring times……shut them off.

We are having an unplugged ceremony.  We are asking the priest to make an announcement.  We are also printing a small message on the back of the programs.
