I haven’t seen a single person in my dress either, and only one person (via a google search) with the same designer. It kinda concerned me at first, but I guess it just means no one will show up with the same dress!  :)~

I think an unpopular dress is only a bad thing if you want to resell it, since way fewer people will be searching for it to buy it used.

My dress is from the 2011 and when I google it, only the website pics come up. That being said, I’ve seen it twice on here. Once was when someone who had already purchased a different dress put up a poll (stock photo) asking if she should switch.  They liked her original dress better.  The other was a girl who bought it, she did put up a pic of it, but had dress regret and ended up with something else. That hurt a little bit.  I am head over heels for it, I choose it because it looks amazing on me, it has bling but just the right amount and it’s different.  As much as I would love to see it on others, I’d rather not see it on 100 other women.

Unless you have a custom dress, there are plenty of other brides who are wearing or have worn your dress, it’s just not posted all over the internet.

My dress isn’t online and as far as I know I’m the 1st person to ever have it and probably the last… I’m not sure how I feel about that, I like that it’s only mine but I’m sad I can’t see it on anyone else =( I searched night and day and found nothing, and my dress is a Demetrios you would think something would pop up somewhere? lol

Lovely dress! I am glad I have a unique dress. I think it suits me, and that is what matters most. No popularity contest whatsoever. ๐Ÿ™‚

I couldn’t find any bridal shops that carried the dress I wanted ANYWHERE.  I ordered it w/o trying it on.  Then I fell in love w/ another dress although the first dress was all that I expected when it came.

I resold it in a heartbeat.  I think that it’s uniqueness helped.

Lost of people love unique, but see themself in what is comfortable and familiar…hence the polpularity of such similar styles.

There was a major SNAFU with a bridesmaid sample gown getting sent back to the bridal shop, and the owner said, “Don’t worry.  It’s important to have that around so people feel like they have choices, but I pretty much only sell the same A-line strapless dress all day, everyday.”  I think a similar thing happens for bridal.

I have same thoughts about not seeing real brides in my Sottero & Midgley dress, but I also think that it’s because it is from spring 2011 collection. I ordered mine in January and it is supposed to come in only in June, so it makes sense why there are still no other brides posting pictures of this dress.

I know how you feel. I fell in love with my dress, but I don’t see others with really similar ones, so I feel a bit out of place. I keep thinking maybe I made a mistake. . . My dress is older (I bought it on consignment), so it’s definitely not that there hasn’t been time for pictures to go up! I’ve also never heard of anyone else wearing the label (Bonny).

The point is, though, that you look beautiful (I especially love the angled ruching on the bust) and as long as you feel beautiful and confident, that’s what matters. That and how your FH’s face will light up when he sees you for the first time. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was actually wondering the same thing last night. I googled the dress I’ve chosen…allure 8771 and although it’s a simple classy dress, I’ve only been able to find 2 or 3 images of people wearing it , and one is from the bee! It makes me wonder it there’s a reason others didn’t choose it? But then I realize I’m being silly and that I loved the way I looked and felt in it…so really it’s more special that not so many people have it.

@ItsPronounced_ABear: That dress looks amazing on you!

I’m on the flipside- I’ve found my dress all OVER the net with a quick search & on one bee here. I was grateful because I got a better idea of how it looked on different body types other than the model before trying it on. I think I would second guess my choice if it were SUPER trendy, therefore the reason why it’s so popular.  If it weren’t so popular, I’d pat myself on the back for having such unique tastes! Wink

I like that I haven’t seen my dress on anyone else! I’ve actually only seen a couple people with pics of a dress by the same designer. Sophia Tolli.
