This Is Us. Shameless. Breaking Bad. GOT.
The Nightingale (book)
older stuff: Titanic, Little Miss Sunshine, Juno, Silver Linings Playbook.
Ill echo a pp with Love Actually, except I’m not sure if many people do like that movie. I have never heard anyone rave about it.

I don’t care about Friends. It’s been on in the background once in a while but I’m never drawn in enough to watch it. The characters just don’t seem interesting.

OMG! I hated that book too! I thought WTF if you think being on the “hot butt list” is devastating just wait ..life gets worse. She kinda needed to die cuase she never would have survived adulthood.

I was the exact right age to get sucked into the Harry Potter books when they came out and I was surrounded by friends who were, but I never read them. I tried reading them a few years ago and made it through a couple, but I just couldn’t finish. Nothing inherently wrong with them, and I felt like her writing was fine (since it was aimed at a younger audience), I just couldn’t. Love the movies, though!
Loathed the Hunger Games. Books and movie. Couldn’t make it through the first book. First movie was fine, I guess?
I have seen 5 minutes of Forrest Gump and refuse to see any more of it. I could not stand his acting. I even left a school assembly when they tried to make us watch it. I hate it that much!
The Office had it’s funny moments but is largely overrated. Steve Carell is not funny. Same with SNL – I just don’t find it funny. Some skits, sure, but as a whole…nope.
I have many more but shall refrain.
Oh, except Adam Sandler is NOT a funny person. He makes me cringe.

Titanic was the worst movie ever.
Any time I see that there is a US remake of a great/successful overseas TV show I automatically cringe because you know it will be bad.
Reality TV, especially shows like the bachelor or MAFS suck. Sometimes the first season is genuine but then it gets over taken by attention whores.

The Big Bang Theory…how is that show successful? How??!!?? The “nerd” humor (it’s not in the least), sexist themes, the laugh track. I just don’t get it.

I don’t think Nickelback sucks any more than any other average pop-rock group. It’s a music opinion, but it’s media and pretty unpopular so maybe it can live here?
I also don’t get people who judge others for consuming media that they personally don’t like. Let’s say I have shitty taste in television. It affects me alone. I’m not asking anyone else to watch it FOR me.

Yes!! I have it so much. It’s not funny and I find the “jokes” offensive more than anything else.
Me too. I hate all the things I listed, but if someone just LOVES Adam Sandler, I’m not going to be like “Ew, you’re a terrible person and have terrible taste in everything!” They just…have different taste than me. *shrug* I hate it when people get on other people for liking stuff or not liking stuff. Makes me crazy.

I hated Gone With the Wind. Scarlett O’Hara deserved everything she got.
Fifty Shades…if I hadn’t been reading it as an ebook I would have physically hurled it at the wall. Terrible terrible writing, I wanted to slap whatshername (the narrator) and the whole “inner goddess” bullshit was horrendous.
I read one page of Twilight and decided not to read any more and I have not ever regretted that decision.

Meatloaf (the singer not the food) is awesome. 2 out of 3 of my favourite movies have him in it.

Yes music can live here too 😉
Speaking of…I don’t get what’s so great about Beyonce. People talk about her like she’s a queen or god or something and I just…don’t get it. What’s so special about her? I like some of her songs but overall? Eh. But people seem to worship the ground she walks on!

Is one of them Rocky Horror Picture Show? 🙂 🙂

I hate sitcoms. Virtually all of them, especially American ones. Friends, Big Bang Theory, Seinfeld, anything. The jokes are always repetitive and predictable, you can spot the build up to a specific joke a mile away, and don’t even get me started on laugh tracks. I can literally sit through entire episodes of “classic” shows and not even crack a smile.
The guys in my office have started watching Brooklyn 99 in the break room at lunchtimes, and I have to find something to read to stop myself from pulling my hair out while they’re all in hysterics.
I swear I do have a sense of humour! Maybe it’s just warped…

It sure is!
Nah, you’re just British 😄. I mean that with total respect, I’m just saying British humor is quite different than American humor.

I think you may have a good point there 🙂
