- Wedding: May 2015
Fiance and I went to the wedding show back in September, and found a great DJ company. We set up a consultation with him in November.
We came up with an amazing package that includes uplighting around the entire venue, party lighting, sound system, MC services, mics, access to an online planner, all day DJ service including ceremony for under $1000.
We shopped around as music is important for both of us, and found this DJ’s packages were the best by far. He was professional and knew what he was talking about when I threw out a bunch of questions for him.
I let him know after the holidays that we’ve decided to book with him, and I never heard back. I gave him a call a few weeks later and he said he’d write out the contract for us that upcoming weekend. Flash forward nearly 2.5 weeks now, still nothing. I never thought it’d be this hard to actually GIVE someone my money!
I’m worried now that I keep having to go to him for him to respond to me. I own a business where I sometimes work in the wedding industry, and I’ve always responded to clients within 24-48 hours, granted my work is a lot simplier.
I guess I’m wondering should I continue to push or am I just asking for bad luck on the wedding day? How long is too long to wait for a vendor? I just don’t want to sound pushy. Thankfully we still have a year and a half until the wedding, but trying to find a DJ within our budget again is proving to be difficult! Thanks bees.
