Last night I dreamt that SO and I were in an open relationship. In the dream he and I both had other people we were seeing, but then we came back to each other.
It felt kind of out of nowhere, and the opposite of what I want. What gives?
Just on Friday we had talked about marriage and timelines, etc. But we watched an episode of King of Queens and swinger couples were briefly mentioned lol I can’t tell if it’s because of that, or the conversation, or something else altogether?
I do listen to a sex podcast in which polyamory is frequently mentioned. For me it’s always been more of an educational curiosity. I’m a hopeless romantic, so I always truly wanted that one-on-one love connection lol Any guesses on what the dream could mean? I woke really confused and bothered by it. I told SO and he made a joke, “who was winning?” lol (in terms of who had more dating partners on the side haha)

@Kat_Kit2000: I’m the kind of person who doesn’t really think dreams mean anything. I’ve dreamed about having sex with my old history teacher, about cheating on/and being cheated on by my SO, and the other day I dreamed that I was kidnapped and kept in a box for months and finally rescued.
It’s possible you had just heard about it and it was somewhere in your head, which came out in a dream.

I had a dream last night that Adam Levine worked in a grocery store that was part of an obstacle course. Most of the time, our dreams just combine things that are floating around in our heads- I wouldn’t worry too much about it =)

@MeiFrancis: haha nice. Thanks 🙂
@memo: Wow those are crazy! I always feel awkward looking at teachers. I almost feel like it’d be better if we could just listen to them lol (awful flashbacks of running into them in the mall and realizing that they’re people lol)

I had a dream the other day where my SO cheated on me and I was absolutely devastated and couldn’t function. I woke up upset and was kind of mad at him that morning (he wasn’t around, so I was just internally irritated) even though he didn’t do anything in real life lol. Dreams are weird sometimes and they can be unsettling. Usually I forget them after a few hours, but I think I’ve been having such dreams because I’ve been sitting in family court doing research for a grad class and all I’ve been seeing for the last couple of months is divorce and sadness. It’s been leaking into my thoughts at night… 🙁

@Kat_Kit2000: haha I hear you about the teachers! It’s weird when you realize they don’t live in school and actually have a life.
@MrsPHopefully: I’ve had dreams like that, and wake up mad at SO! He’s also had those dreams and acts really sad in the morning and I have to force him to tell me what his dream was about lol
