I know it hurts, but I don’t think that’s so unusual. There are plenty of people who feel rather strongly that 22/23 is too young to get married these days. I’m sure it’s not personal, so try not to take it that way. And certainly don’t assume that he will never support you. Just know that deciding to get married young is likely to get some reactions, and it will just take time for those people to see it’s the “real deal.” You’ll need a thicker skin in the short run, but the best “revenge” (I use that word figuratively!) is to prove them wrong! I don’t think his brother doesn’t want you guys to get married, its just a very big step in life for anyone. I think any family memeber would be concerned whether or not this is the right decision base on your age and time in your lives.

If this is 100% what you both want, then I think you guys need to acknowledge their concerns, and reassure them that this is a rational decision from both parties.
