Get it out of your head.  Go on your date with the mindset that it is just a date and you are going to enjoy the wonderful time that your boyfriend put aside for you to treat you to something special.  That way if it doesn’t happen, you won’t be too disappointed but if it does then that will make your night that much better.  Either way, have a wonderful time!

Crossing my fingers for you!

You’re welcome, find something to keep your mind off of it.  If you’re not working today, clean your home, go get your nails done, buy a new dress for tonight, get your hair done, start christmas shopping, anything…  don’t drive yourself crazy over it.

Fi was weird and secretive too the night he proposed but I with @Megan316 here, if you go on that date thinking he’ll propose you won’t enjoy the night and it’ll be awfull if he doesn’t propose. Try to think this is not the night, that way if he doesn’t propose you still get to have a great date and if he does.. well we all know how that’ll be.

Good luck. and keep us posted. =D

I hope you have a lovely date, but try not to think about it! Besides, any hint you know it’s coming and your SO may choose to delay it – after all, it should be a surprise (so they keep telling us)

This is the exact same way I felt a couple of weeks ago when my SO randomly out of no where decided he wanted us to go off on a short vaca over a weekend. I thought FOR SURE that he was planning a proposal, and I got myself so hyped up about it that I was physically sick for the whole week leading up, and I was so stressed that my face broke out with acne.  There ended up not being a proposal, and the only long-term results of the trip are a lovely checkerboard of acne scars on my chin.  In other words, I agree with previous posters to GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEAD πŸ™‚

I feel that way at just about every holiday or big event…  basically Thanksgiving through to my birthday in February I wonder if today will be the day, and so far it hasn’t been!  So hard to not think it, though.  But try!  Worst case, lovely evening out!

@Mrs.Jansen:  aw πŸ™‚ thanks girlie!  I’m definitely looking forward to being able to come announce a proposal to you bees some day, hopefully soon!  Have fun on your date, regardless of what happens! You will be happier and less stressed out once you just get into the moment instead of wondering about the proposal. Do come back and let us know how it goes though, I would be happy for you to tell me I was wrong πŸ™‚
