I agree with PP’s that a simple band would be so pretty with that solitaire, as opposed to the wrap.

Well, if it’s your grandmas and not his, i don’t see why he would be so bothered by it.  The money is already spent on the moissanites, so, that’s a bit late to recover.  Does he know you got the moissys?  Just tell him you want it set to use as your ering.  Though I do agree with PP that the wrap is kind of swallowing it up and not helping.

lizzysoontobemurphy:  in another thread you mentioned that you thought the diamond got”lost” on your “big”hand.  It will be much better if you paired your solitaire with a thin pave band as others suggested. I don’tthink your hand or the diamond size is the problem. It’s what you paired it with. Wear the large moissanite on your right hand.

lizzysoontobemurphy:  I also have “big ole hands” (your words) about the same size as yours. Though I agree with the other posters that a thin pave band would look lovely with your diamond, it would not look lovely on my hand. I think your wrap is flattering on your hand and would look great with a center stone larger than a quarter carat.

Since the diamond came from your grandmother (whom you say never really liked you), and you have already bought the moissanite, then what is it you are asking your fiance to upgrade? If he bought the bands, then I would think he would be more upset if you wanted to switch those. Personally, I would not be too thrilled wearing a diamond for an engagement ring that came from a grandmother who told me she didn’t like me.
