We’re getting married at a resort in Panama where we got engaged.  My hope is to walk down the isle to ‘Kiss the girl’ played by a string quartet.

@6598731ssfse3:  I thought about doing Bittersweet Symphony too! I think it’s so pretty! I had my heart set on Bittersweet Symphony until I heard this Apocalyptica song of my favorite Metallica song..now I’m so confused!

Mine was a solo violin rendition of Across the Universe. Mothers were seated to I’ll Stand By You, bridal party walked to Wonderwall, and we left to I’m Yours. It was all fantastic!

I am walking down to an accoustic version of “Everlong” by the foo fighters. It has always been a special song for us, we are going to get lyrics tattoo’d after we are married.

I walked down to the aisle to a string quartet rendition of Portuguese Love Theme from the movie Love Actually. 🙂

I’m quite taken with the idea of walking down to ‘Autumn’ from the Four Seasons:

But the timing will be difficult because I really want to walk down to the big happy bit, which is like a minute and a half, so with my BMs as well, it might mean I’m walking down to the slightly less melodic bit before the second crescendo at 4:25. I think that might be a bit long to make people wait! Hahaha.

I’d originally wanted Linus and Lucy, but if my church will let me have it, my mum said it might make a better Recessional. And it would be pretty badass as a recessional.

Such amazing and unique choices, ladies!  🙂  I am using “I Love You Always Forever” by Donna Lewis.  My bridesmaids will walk out during the earlier part of the song, and I will start my walk on the part that comes in with the big “Say you love me, love me forever…”  🙂  Those who are familiar with the song will know what I mean!

While we are signing the register, I am hoping to get a friend/acquaintance to perform “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes!  I notice that I am not the only one to have to idea to use that song…it is so perfect for a wedding.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by Smashing Pumpkins.  I’m a HUGE Smashing Pumpkins fan and the song is really beautiful, all instrumental.  Ever since I first heard that song when I was about 16 I knew it was the song I would walk down the aisle to.

@NurseMandie:  I considered that song as well!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE it…but in the end, my current choice won out (the upbeat nature of the song I ultimately chose seemed to work better with our candy-themed motif).  It will be beautiful, though!
