You probably won’t see a lot of  ‘mystic quartz’ as these are treated stones. Some treatments aren’t very durable (quartz typically has a coating added to the outside of the stone to acheive the colors). I know mystic topaz is a treated stone as well. I believe topaz goes through heat treatments to obtain the colors, but I’m not sure.

I have a jewelry set of a treated quartz (can’t remember the patented name, but it was from a small local jeweler who did their own treatments). It’s pretty, and one of my favorites, but its not something I wear everyday due to the durability.I’m afraid of wearing off the coating.

I saw a rutilated quartz ring on etsy they other day and it was so beautiful! I would love to see if anyone has such as ring here.

I have a 3.40ct heart shaped mystic topaz ring but as a right hand ring. I have worn it plenty and the coating has never deteriorated at all bc I know at least with mystic topaz, the coating is just on the bottom. This setting doesn’t really expose the bottom of the stone and the gallery is finished so it’s well protected.

I have a rutilated quartz (below.) It is mounted in a cocktail ring. If you like them then go for it. You might have to replace the stone at some point since they are soft(ish.)

Sorry, don’t have a real-life pic. Here is my Mystic Topaz RHR (simulated) from Amazon. 8×8. I like it.. but I’d like a bigger one. It was like $8!
