Not many upbeat ones out there. What about the belle of belfast city? Or whiskey in the jar?

And dancing in the moonlight by the thin lizzies. Or somthing by Van morrison, U2, clannador the boomtown rats.

kfh81083:  I have a solo piano radio on Pandora and one of the songs that played was called Slainte! I really enjoyed it and don’t know how upbeat it was but if you’re able to find it it may be worth a listen.

Can you clarify what you mean by an Irish song? Irish artist? ‘Irish’ in the title?  Says ‘Irish’ in the lyrics? Recognisably Irish to a non-irish audience?

A lot of upbeat songs are primarily about drinking — that ok? Whiskey in the Jar is a classic, also “the Craic was 90”.  If you can find something with some good fiddle fills between the versis I’m sure they’ll be recognizably irish! St Anne’s Reel is a great one for good fiddle interludes and a fun dance-friendly song (and not so much about drinking as the others!)
