vballercm :  Hopefully it works out. However, it sounds like the one who needs counseling is him.

Good bee!  Its great that you’re making progress.

As far as rings are concerned, just remember it doesn’t necessarily need to be a diamond.  Colored stones are just as nice and tend to run cheaper.  Also, apparently this is a very pro Moissanite site so take a look at those as well.

Agree, colored stones can be gorgeous!  My fiance was a full time grad student working part time at $14/hr when he proposed so he got me a purple amythyst, the stone was only $75 but I get comments all the time about how beautiful and unique it is!  People always say “I love your ring!” And then I get to say “thanks, me too!  And I love the guy who gave it to me even more!” 🙂

Also I remember reading your first post and I am SO happy and proud of you for finding your voice and doing what you need to take care of yourself. I’m sure it wasn’t easy and I think you’re a truly remarkable person for doing so

vballercm :  Thank you for getting back to us. I love that you’ve taken time to work on looking after yourself, its the best investment.

If he’s proposing a good budget, by all means, take him up on it. It doesnt have to be a blingy rock that will gouge your eyes out, the most expensive ones are based on clarity and excellent cut, it could be a smaller size.

If you do end up with a coloured stone thats great too, I LOVE the coloured ones some bees on here have. Best of luck to you and I hope we get some ring pics soon.
