Lets just say, I went there thinking they had the Martina Liana dress, but I confused it with another dress (with ruffles at the bottom, by martina, but didn’t like that)
So, I tried on the dress I bought, definitely didn’t feel the same….tried it with the belt and the veil, some shoes…the whole works…nope!
Then I tried on Hayley Paige 6206, I tried on 2 Tara Keelys….(one of which could have been it, but the bottom was tulle and I wasn’t a fan of the texture)
So…I was bummed that they told me I would have to wait until Martina Liana’s trunk show on August 17th…they booked me an apt, and said they would call Nicole Miller to find out if they could work some magic to get my deposit back and exchange it for another dress in their store.
They were SUPER nice, the boss played some hard ball, but I was so emotional telling them how I felt the past week and I think it started to show.
So I left the store….got in a taxi with my mother to head to the train station…and 2 minutes later I get a phone call from the salon.
“Can you come back in??? Are you still close??” I was shaking when my consultant Gwynne was so excited.
“Our buyer told us she purchased the sample recently and it happened to be in one of the boxes in the bac waiting to be steamed and placed on our racks!”
“I actually just got in the taxi we’re on our way to the train! but I’m turning around!!!”
I started yelling to the taxi driver “I’m sooooo sorry but please turn around! 18th and 5th!”
So feeling like this is fate setting in, I couldn’t wait, but I was also freaking out that what if this dress looks so ugly on me!??
My mom and I were waiting for the elevator and I told her I wanted to throw up…haha
We get to the salon, and she had the dress out on the hanger walking it over to me…I almost died!!
It was so much more gorgeous in person! I was beyond excited!!!!
So I speed walked to the dressing room, put that baby on…and I stepped out into the salon floor which was pretty much free of clients and consultants because it was a week day appointment.
I couldn’t have felt any better! It was tight, sweetheart, just enough sparkle, the belt I already purchased still matched, I got my silk organza flowy bottom, BEAUTIFUL train…which by the way i had NO idea that it had peony accents when you turn a certain way, and looked ivory in different directions!
I was beyond floored, it flared out from under the butt, but still dripped crystal and bodice material in different spots into the organza, with no distinct dropped waist cut off.
It was AMAZING!
Only thing is, they are working their magic with Nicole Miller, but either way this is MY dress!
Because it was a high end salon, and I have not yet signed over to the new dress with the new contract, I only have one picture of me in it, that my mom took sneakly…but I have to wait until she can send it to me sometime today to show you!
I’ll find out today what happens with the dress return, but since the consultant had called me late last night to work out numbers I have a feeling it may be in my favor.
I’ll update you guys ASAP!!!!
PS – It’s the next day, and still no dress regret here!!!!!
^^^ THE PICTURE MY MOM SNEAKED! I’ll have more soon! See the peony???
