Hey ladies, swear.xray and I had our meeting with our jeweler tonight to get our money back from our first engagement ring that has been a nightmare. Well there refusing to give us our money back so looks like we may have to lawyer up on this to get our $$$ back so we can move on and get the ring we should have gotten the firsttime…..mnot how I was hoping this would go but if it’s what we gotta go it’s what wegotta do.
So to my next question wwere looking at diamonds to it and wanted to see if my one on here knew or has a bellataire diamond?? It’s a treated diamond and wanted to know if u reccommend it or no just pay theof tea mine for a natural stone??? Let me know what u bees think and if u have a bellataire ring post some pics for me Please!!!! Thanks for all your help bees!!!

@MissXray: Sorry about the mess with your e-ring! I will be the first to admit that I don’t know much about Bellataire diamonds, but my advice would be to stay away from any kind of treated diamond. I’ve heard that they “weaken” the stone and make it much more prone to chipping or cracking.

@mypinkshoes: Thats what it sounded like well turns out the gal at our Jeweler needed to go higher up to get that and when she did, he refused due to the fact that Maevona has been charging them every time we have had to send it in to repair ect. Now I dont know how you feel bout that but I dont know why we as the customer should be punished cause the designer is chargins you money for all this when its not like we have been doing this cause of something we just didn’t like. It was becuase they screwed it up to begin with and its has taken this long and this many shipments to fix it…. and it still isnt what it should be. So we are looking into legal representation if when we meet with her higher ups and they still refuse due to this as that is COMPLETLY insane that the reason we would have to keep the ring or keep our business with them is cause of the fact they have lost to much money with Maevona. That is something that they need to look into and not punish us as the customer for.

Is there any way to take the ring you have now (the one he wont give your money back on) and go to another local jeweler to have it cleaned up to what you want it to be? You can get insurance on it first so if the jeweler that fixes it messes it up. If they refuse to give your money back a lawyer is gonna be alot more hassle and with a wedding coming up it might not be worth it.
Also getting it appraised and insured might help you if you do decide to go after the designer because it might appraise terrible and that would be a help for you.

@MissXray: i don’t see why it would be the customer’s fault that the jewellery store had to pay to have the ring sent back and forth to get fixed. i think they are just making up any excuse to save their ass. hold strong. your diamond was already not the size/quality that they said it was when you bought it so that alone is called fraud. i would definitely let them know this. a jeweller involved in a fraud charge; this could devastate his business and reputation.
@GelaMac: if you read op’s other threads, they did get it appraised and it appraised for way less than what fi paid for it.

@GelaMac: Thanks ladies, yea we are going to fight the best they have offered was to give us a store credit for the ring and let unpick a new one. Fi and I are not wanting anything to do wiher this company any more if they are going to treat us like this!!! We will keep u updated bees but we have a lawyer already and hoping thatit he letter from him may be enough since we have grounds for fraud and emotional distress so…. I really hope it doesn’t it get there but gotta protect us!!
