I made some changes from rinse.repeat’s original design (changes can be found here), but my own boxes are finally done! I added the outside design and also waterproofed each box since the last post.
I thought that the outside of the boxes looked a bit boring so I added a cute vintage key and then decided it needed to look like it was dangling. I wanted each box to be unique so I modified the key design and key placement on each box.
Here’s a closer look. A freehanded key, some hot glue and yarn, and voila, an adorable jewelry box!
Finally, here is a look inside the finished product. I included some info on what role they will play, some wedding details, some info about each one (basically funny stories and important moments of our friendships), and a card explaining how I want them to pick their own dresses and some guidelines for dress shopping. I also put in a few pictures of dresses that I love for them so they have a visual aid, and a picture borrowed from a bride who did her bm dresses like I want them. I think the vintage hankie is too cute!
The girls have already been asked (and accepted!) so I plan on presenting these during or right after a toast to them at my engagement party. It will be the first time I will have everyone in the same room and I can’t wait to introduce them!
