Okay. Finally updating everyone. I didn’t want to go public with this because I didn’t want to seem greedy or anything like that. I didn’t want anyone to roll their eyes at this post & I wanted to make sure of what I was going to do first.
So my new rings, the princess cut to be exact was just not me at all. It was BEAUTIFUL & I have always loved a gorgeous princess cut. But marquise & pear shapes are just more me and more my style. So I just couldn’t fall in love with the princess cut. It was lovely & I was just so happy to have something on my hand again. I feel like I picked what I could the fastest I could without thinking it through. I should have went to the mall & got a 10 dollar stunt ring for the mean time but I didn’t. After confessing this to my husband he told me he wanted me to be happy. He wanted the ring I wear everyday to be a ring I love to no end as much as I loved my other rings. (He is so understanding & patient & I love him so much!) So after I showed him a gorgeous citrine pear halo he told me to bookmark it, then search some more. Search & look at every ring I could, on ebay, on zales, on etsy, everywhere! To make sure I get EXACTLY what I want. & I found out. It is close to the citrine halo I loved so much (& mentioned to alot of bees through PM’s.) But I found THE ONE I love even more than the citrine ring.
Its a pear shaped natural fire red ruby with a halo of diamonds on a 14k yellow gold band. I will pair it with a very thin yellow gold plain band that is flat & can be pushed under the halo. We bought it today & its suppose to be here between 5-6 days. We bought it from a antique store/seller on ebay & it is an estate ring which makes it that much more ME! I hope you all understand & do not think I am crazy.
Here is a picture (I did the black & white edit for fun haha) I will take better photos in natural lighting once I get it:
There are two diamonds on the ring that bother me, they seem darker than the others. So before my husband bought the ring I told him this. I told him I searched for days looking for a ring just like it with better diamonds at a good price but I couldn’t find them. So we decided we will replace those two diamonds with better quality ones & if we have any problems with the other diamonds we will do the same. The ruby is perfect (to me) obviously not really perfect but I don’t want to change a thing about it or the setting. I love it!

CONGRATS!!!! I love it! You should be happy and you deserve to be happy! You lost your lovely rings and that sux but settling when you arent happy and still have time to rectify it would suck, too. So, I say…YAYYYY!!!
And I have to tell you that I am getting a ruby for my anniversary in a few weeks, too! Yay for both of us! (sorry to hijack, I just got extremely excited!)
I cant wait to see pics of it on your hand! Congrats to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I admit that when I saw your orignal post I knew there was something about the ring.. Thought it would be a little more scandelous. I thought it was odd that you had gotten a princess cut, because I remember you were originally looking at a princess solitaire. Who cares if others roll their eyes or talk S! be happy. If this ring is the one for you GREAT, if you get it, hate it and want something else, that’s ok too.. Life is too short to be unhappy!
Would the store take your princess back?

That is a beautiful ring! Don’t worry if people say something, that doesn’t matter. What matters id that you have a ring that you love and are excited to wear every day! I’m glad you found that ring!
