Last night he put up an FB status saying that it was his fault she said no and although he understood that his friends were protecting him, bashing her and starting rumors were hurting him more than her, because he was the one that commited a sin in their relationship.
I thought it was pretty big of him to openly confess this. However, she’s mad about it, because if she wanted to get back with him now everyone knows that he cheated and that she would be judged for staying with him. I understand her side too. I think at this point there isn’t any hope for them.

Wow, that was very big of him but really, he should have discussed it with her first. Now it is no longer rumor. And yes, she will be judged (though personally I think that this is something you could work through).

Ugh, what an awful situation for all three of them. It’s an example of why I really dislike public proposals unless the couple has already talked about it and KNOW they’re on the same page. It just puts the person proposed to in such an awkward, high-pressure situation.

I know that I am being SUPER nosy but I’m just wondering how things turned out for them 5 months later? Were they able to work things out?? They sound like a beautiful couple who went through some trials but still truly love each other. Just curious!

Yeah, I was actually wondering the same thing… need to know what happened! :/

ME THREE!! *fingers-crossed* it all worked out?

What happened to these poor people?

I saw the OP say in another thread that there was a bunch of drama on FB and the guy is now “sleeping with the 19 year old sister of a friend of [hers]”. So I guess it didn’t end well. 🙁

That situation sucks, but honestly why would he expect her to say yes? He cheated on her, she hadn’t told him she had forgiven him. Cheating is a HUGE dealbreaker, guys have no clue. And then he just proposes in a huge public way. Maybe he should have done it in a more private way, so he could say more things to her about wanting to change, etc, etc. That’s horrible how it ended
