Had crazy amounts of dress regret today because of Maggie Sottero Dynasty, you can see my emotional rollercoaster in my last post it got hidden in the brush…but it’s there!
I promised pictures…so here they are! I plan on wearing a bolero for the Catholic church ceremony though it wasn’t required, I’m chosing to because i love the look … it will probably be one with less lace, and more plain tulle/whatever fabric they use, and some appliques.
The dress is Nicole Miller, and the belt is Jim Hjelm which i bought.
and my pics from Saturday:
So…there they are bees!
I chose to not get a dress that would be over the top, because I want to accessorize.. I was way under my dress budget with this one…so the belt was a splurge…
The bolero will be my next hunt, as well 3 tier drop long earrings, and a nice rhineston cuff sash maybe from etsy to match the belt!
And of courseee some blinged out shoes…
All in all, what I thought was plain and freaked out about after I was home, I realized it was what I wanted all along I just didn’t know it yet!
Plus, I hate bustles, and the way they showed me the bustle with this dress was perfect!
I don’t know what I was afraid of..

Thank you so much! I had thought I wanted a very textured dropped waist gown but it’s so true what they say when you finally try things on…while the dropped waist was great I felt amazing in this!
The pics also don’t show the seaming detail that is on the thigh diagonally downward on each side, it really makes the dress so structured and modern just like the bodice. Giving it a modern and elgant feel which is what I wanted!
The bolero will definitely give it character too, I tried on so many boleros…it’s just easier and cheaper to buy my own.
Coming from someone who wanted a solitare ring, it really fits my personality I just didn’t think so until now!

Beautiful dress. I love the silhouette on your figure – very Morticia Addams, but in white of course!

The dress looks amazing on you! Fabulous choice! Don’t worry about the dress being “not over the top.” The look of the dress and the statement it makes is over the top enough! Gorgeous!
