I am a 16 dress, I found THE dress by Mori Lee. It was nothing what I was looking for, but it was perfect. I felt like a princess, and I felt THIN too lol

You have tons of time to find a dress! Try not to feel discouraged, youve been to 2 places.  There are soo many places out there!  Youll find the perfect dress, and keep an open mind! You never know what kind of dress will wow you

I swear I’m not stalking you, but if I remember correctly, are you in NYC? If so, make an appointment at the White Gown in Brooklyn! I was a 26 when I tried on dresses there, and I was able to try on at least six or seven gowns. They had lots of sample size 22s, and while some took a bit of tugging to get into, the woman who worked there could not have made me feel more comfortable. It was a great experience! I wound up buying my dress at Kleinfelds but I really wish I could have gotten it there. That’s how awesome they were. 🙂

I’m plus-size too, I was an Alfred Angelo (Disney) bride. There are plus sizes dresses out there, don’t give up hope.

The dress in the last picture was actually my original “dream dress”. It was very pretty on but once I put it on, I didn’t fall in love with it.

I found that Bonny had some amazing dresses and until I saw Maggie I was gona go with Bonny. I had to travel about an hour and a half to try on some really great dresses and it was soooo worth it. In the end I knew what shapes/styles looked good and what didn’t. Never thought in a million years I could wear a fit and flare or a mermaid, but those looked the best on me. I ended up not liking all the plus size dresses they had with that style for one reason or another, the the sales lady put me in a plain fit and flair for sihloette then held up my Maggie and tied it around me, added a belt and put a veil on me and I cried, I knew it was my dress even though I could never try it on. I was happy to just get the shape down and then pick the dress that had the right elements. Though finding a dress to try on that actually zipped up and didn’t have to be clamped to my bra was also an emotional experience, but after about 5 minutes that feeling faded and I started to look at the dress I was wearing. I just couldn’t get the maggie out of my head.  You will find a wonderful dress. Don’t let it get your down. Just try on anything and everything to narrow down what looks good and what elements that you like. I think I went to 6 shops before I found “the one”.  Make time to travel outside your area, I made an entire day of it with my girls, we even picked out their dresses in the same day.

@MUAbride2be:  I did not like any dresses at DB. Mine is from Alfred Angelo. They have lovely plus sized dresses.

The DB dresses I tried on were just okay.  I agree with previous posters, they were kind of matronly.  I went to two different locations and at the second one they kept bringing me dresses I hated, no matter how many times i told them I didn’t want anything with sleeves.  I ended up going with a Bonny, though.  It was beautiful and I just couldn’t get it out of my head.  Maggie and AA are gorgeous, though.  They’re flattering without being bland.

Allure women’s collection has beautiful plus size dresses and if you are in NY I would try RK Bridal. I had a great visit, was able to try on about 6 dresses the first time narrowed it down to an Allure and Maggie Sottero and went back and chose the Allure.

myboobs look crazy here lol

my final choice Allure W284

The only reason I went with David’s is budget and after looking for weeks and at almost every local vbridal store to find basically what I invisioned for my budget price – I went with it I love my dress but the lace is cheap and the other material the alterations sucked and they takes me into getting A dress 4 sizes to big 🙁 but I still lobbed it – I do tkink most the stuff is blah go hum – we went as a last resort – had no help at all cause I starfed with the sales rack of course! – by he only reason I went back is I found my gown in a magazine
