But on the brightside, you have a fabulous weekend away and a birthday and THEN you get ANOTHER surprise (the proposal!!!)

That sounds like something my mom would say when she is trying to throw me off the track of something 😉

No man in his right mind would want an engagement ring floating around a shipping warehouse for that long…. not to mention the shipping companies send things back to their senders if they hang out too long.  I’m just saying.

Oh no!  I didn’t mean for you to freak out!! Honestly I was only talking through the reason I would be suspicious of the excuse that they missed the delivery, that’s all!  Sorry!!

At first I thought your Mom was trying to throw you off until you checked on the details.

Sorry to hear! I know you were so excited to have it happen this weekend!  Hang in there just for a little bit longer! The good thing is you KNOW it’s going to happen. He is going to pick up the ring and I’m positive you won’t have to wait much longer! Hang in there and keep doing what your doing and staying quiet.

Are you positive it is the ring though? Was the shipping place able to give you details of the contents of the box… Hmm with the other surprise he has for you still a mystery Im thinking and hoping and praying for you there is still a chance he will do it this weekend!

oh, it’s okay – just hang in there!!  i know the disappointment is really hard to deal with (similar situation goin’ on right now) but i keep trying to focus on other  things too.  but other bees brought up a great point, now you get two surprises instead of one big surprise weekend!!  it could be that he doesn’t want to cloud your amazing birthday getaway with proposal stuff and he wants to do that completely separately.  i know the anxiety must feel like it’s killing you, but the good thing is that he’s got the ring (sort of)!!  that’s a HUGE step in the right direction and now just hold out for that very special moment that he’s undoubtedly planning to give it to you.  continue keeping us posted; i’ve got my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

At least you know beforehand. Would be worse if you had been expecting it this weekend and didn’t get it. This way you can at least focus on your bday and all the fun things he has planned for you. You know the ring is coming so don’t worry at all he has a plan it will happen very soon 🙂

@katlovesjames:  Are you honestly that mad that it’s going to happen a short time after you anticipated?

I think a lot of people are so caught up in the idea of this huge, extravogant proposal that they forget the true meaning…. you should feel blessed that you have a SO that loves you and wants to marry you ( even if his timeline is slightly different than yours). Stop worrying so much about WHEN it will happen, and let it happen.

And I didn’t mean to sound like a major B… I am sure it’s annoying that you’ve been looking forward to it, but there is nothing wrong with surprises 🙂
