I wanted to share a funny story with you to make you smile. When I was pregnant with son#1, I had a dream that he was born early. I popped him out and the doctor took a look at him and said that he wasn’t done yet and popped him back in where he came from. Not as bad as what you may think…..think Thanksgiving turkey not being done and putting it back in oven. lol.

Just think what a little stinker this guy is going to be once he is up and running, giving you this much stress before he is even born.
Keep growing and hanging in there little guy!

Day by day and ounce by ounce! Hang in there baby fox!!

You are so strong MamaFox, even if you don’t see it. You’ve been fighting for your little cub for 8(?) weeks now and doing everything you need to do to protect and nurture him. You probably think you’re just doing what you feel is right – well you’re being one strong mama and your little baby fox is so lucky to have you (and PapaFox) looking out for him. Sending you huge hugs and happy wishes for a strong & healthy baby fox!

Bellagiobride: Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s impossible to begin to feel what you are feeling, but I wanted to say that you fought and fought and your little girl will always be with you. Xoxo Thank you for you support as well and I am always here if you want to talk. I pray for peace for you and your family.
amandajane4949: It’s weird to be on the other side of this. I always felt the same way about women with difficult pregnancies. I wondered how they kept it together, how they made it through, especially with all the unknowns, and all I can answer is that there is no other choice! We keep soldiering on and each day gets both harder and easier. I hope that you are right about restricted space meaning stronger lungs. 26 weeks and only on CPAP is amazing! I can only pray for that! The closer we get to 28, 30 and even 34, the better I feel! Your support and you memes are wonderful. Everyones comments mean the world to me. 🙂 It all really helps!!
Hahahaha that’s a funny dream! I’m so glad it was only a dream!! The nurses and myself keep calling our son “troublemaker” since he doesn’t have a official name yet til birth. 🙂
Thank you!! Exactly what we are doing 🙂 each day is a blessing and each ounce as well!
Thank you 🙂 despite the 27 pages here and 30-something on my last thread of people telling me how strong I am, it’s still so hard to feel. I have my not-strong moments, but I am trying my best!! And yes, it’s now been exactly 9 weeks and 1 day since my water broke. 3 weeks and 5 days in the hospital now. Time is moving pretty quickly. It needs to speed up even more!!
Hospital update 🙂 26+2: So baby boy did fabulous yesterday. Morning NST went well, nothing happened all day. It was a perfectly boring day. Nighttime NST was even better. He started off with ten minutes of hiccups, which the nurse said is good because it means that he is drinking! Then he rocked the monitor. Nice Heartrate accelerations and no dips! The nurse was practically bragging again. Overnight went well, but early 5:30am I had some menstrual like cramping. The doctor just happened to walk in at that exact moment so she had the nurse put me on the NST to check for contractions. Luckily none! And the pain faded. a couple hours later at 8am, my stomach started to hurt, but it was higher up. I figured it was digestive related but told the nurse anyway since I had pain earlier. Back on the monitor, he did well, no contractions and eventually the pain did pass. My body is playing tricks on me! Hoping for another good, boring day!! He’s moving a lot, maybe that’s what is hurting. My mom and dad got to feel him kick yesterday. My dad thought he wasn’t allowed to feel my belly since my sister didn’t let him (her and I are very different) I was glad to give him that experience and I think, as grandpa, he appreciated it a lot. 🙂

Troublemaker seems like a nickname that could stick for a boy that plays tricks on you so often! Glad to hear about your good day yesterday, you’re doing so great for this little boy he will be so lucky to have a mom who fought so hard for him.

Hi Fox, I have been following your story from the beggining and haven’t ever said anything. I figured I should let you know that there is one more person praying for you out there. You said you’re afraid to think about the good that could come out of this because you are afraid of jinxing it and I want to let you know that you should stop feeling that way. One important thing this little miracle needs is for you to be as calm and happy as possible. If thinking about the future with him in your arms instead of being stuck in the moment of this stressful time helps you relax then I think that can only help.
I feel like God has been with you and this little man the whole time and I just don’t see how He could be keeping everything going the way it is without good reason. This baby is meant for you. He is strong and so are you and your husband and I wish you all the best!

HOORAY FOR BOREDOM. I’m thinking that the next time your MD appears you should plant a BIG JUICY right on her lips.
Doing so will break the monotony, and since she always seems to give you something positive, she derserves it.
Enjoy your oranges, and keep up the good work!!!

So happy to hear that you have such good news about your little troublemaker cub! You are definitely an inspiration and I’ve told your story to a few people who are all so impressed by your determination and commitment to this little one. Sorry your body is playing tricks on you but at least he is doing well on the NSTs and your bleeding has hopefully stopped for good. Hoping your next few nights go smoothly as well. Do you get a new roommate soon (has your previous one checked out yet)? Have you been sleeping better?

Hi! I’ve been following your story (lurking), but thought that I’d pop in to say that I’m sending you good thoughts! You’ve been doing such an incredible job of taking care of both your baby and yourself. 🙂 I hope that you are both sleeping soundly and have a REALLY uneventful next few weeks!
