Such a gorgoeus little boy!! And i was really happy to see there is only one item she wanted left on the registry!! Its amazing how much a bunch of strangers can help and I’m so glad shes found a job, childcare and is able to look for an apartment. What a great place this is!!!

The previous post and this one totally have me in tears. I got married 3 years ago and loved this blog.  I still use it today for baby stuff because I have found this community of women to be amazing.  This post just affirms that.  I feel so proud to be a part of this community of giving and caring women.

Her son and mine are about the same age.  My son was born on July 17 of last year and is almost 7m.  I had a tough time with the baby blues and here are what helped me.

MOMS:  Go to meetup.com and see if there are playgroups in her area.  It felt so great to get out of the house and be around moms with children around the same age.  You don’t have to put on an “everything is perfect” face and can get some support from them that noone else can give you or understand.  I remember sitting there seeing another mother struggle with breastfeeding was so refreshing.

CHILDCARE:  I don’t know if she is religious but even if she is not, find a church with a wonderful nursery.  I am guaranteed every sunday that I have one hour for my thoughts and my son Benjamin is so well taken care of with the women in the nursery.  A church community can also be very giving in times of need.

HELP:  I would love to help out.  My son is a BIG boy and has outgrown many of his clothes so quickly without even wearing.  I would love to send some her way if you PM her address I can pass them along. Does she need formula, baby food, sippy cups, etc?   I would love to send a lil care package.

BEES– clearly we are all giving people.  If you can think of someone else that could genuinly use the hive’s help post about it.
