- Wedding: June 2012
Just an update on my last post (http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/wedding-in-2-weeks-and-so-upset) where I was beside myself. Recovered from the anxiety over the weekend with the help of my wonderful future husband and decided that adding a crazy last minute weight loss when I didn’t gain weight was not for me. The seamstress took it in too much, she can take it out.
Yesterday I had another fitting, I was really upset and had noticed I could see the spanx-like fabric of my hoop through my dress in regular light. And the dress was still a little tight. I had water on the way to the appt and I could tell (sorry TMI) when I sat down, because it was just too tight to be comfortable if I had to pee even a little during the ceremony. If we took out the waistband just a tiny bit more it should be perfect. Part of me has already started second guessing that because the flip side is what if it’s a little loose as the evening wears on. I think I’d rather have the organza layers lie flat though, which they don’t quite yet. Here’s a pic of my third fitting below (before she stitched down the waistband and it got too tight), and she’s also fixing the funny side seam that’s popping up a bit.
Oh, and the seamstress had a stroke of genius – she had me try on a mermaid slip pulled up to my high waist where the waistband is, and it filled out the dress beautifully without the seams spanx part showing – because it goes all the way down to the bottom of the mermaid slip. It’s ocming tomorrow in time for (hopefully) my last appt!
Wish me luck for tomorrow, bees!
I didn’t know what to do with my hands, weird pose I know.
