- Wedding: July 2013
Okay, I previously posted regarding Future Sister-In-Law wanting to invite HER Mother-In-Law and SIL (her husbands mom and sister) to my engagment party….this is a problem because I had to keep the guestlist small and some people on my family’s side were not invited and if it gets out (likely via facebook) that random people I don’t know well were there it would open a HUGE HUGE can of worms…like seriously, worms would be everywhere.
And it also turned out she wanted to invite her Mother-In-Law to our wedding next year to “watch her kids”…..which, again, we said no to….
SO, I just heard that she is planning on bringing them to the bar we are having it at for dinner then they will leave with her kids and husband, and she’ll stay for the party…..
I’m nervous about this “solution”….I feel like she is imposing her ideas and wants on me and my family (my parents are hosting)….just because I said no…..(she’s not used to people saying no to her)
It’s a public place, yes, but we have a private area reserved and everything has been set up in advance with the manager…..I’m just worried that since she is there she will just expect us to ask them to join us (that is 4 extra people who were not RSVP’d–including 2 kid at a bar?)
I dunno, I’m stressing, I’m worried, I really don’t know how to handle it….my parents aren’t fans of hers from seeing her ignore her children at family outings before…..and really don’t want the children there (there are no other kids coming)…..
So how do I handle this if she DOES decide to try to “sneak” in? I haven’t mentioned this to my parents because they will lose it…….she didn’t even RSVP for herself…she old my Fiance and I had to tell my parents….*sigh* now what?
