I don’t know how many of you may be familiar with my situation, but my fiance and I have officially decided to get married in Vegas. (We’ve been going back and forth daily for about a month, and I’m pretty sure I’ve announced different things at various times….sorry!). It will be at the Mandalay Bay Chapel which is beautiful, and we will have about 40 guests max. So, I am now worried that the free Casablanca dress is too fancy for my small Vegas wedding. What do you guys think? Should I go for something short or something a little more casual or funky? I just feel like this dress is very glamorous and formal, and I’m not sure if it will be appropriate for our wedding.
I’ve attached the Casablanca again, as well as a couple other dresses I’ve been thinking about. One is short, and the other is long, but different and fun. (And yes, there is someone standing behind me holding the dress… it was too big…)
I don’t know what I’d do without my fellow bees!!!

Congratulations on making a decision 🙂
I know how hard that can be.
If it were me, since you are going to Vegas, I would wear something short and sassy, like the picture you posted, with a fun shoe.

I LOVE the short one–perfect for Vegas, imo. 🙂

you need to try a short one on to make sure you it’s the right fit for you before you make a decision.

The short dress is super-cute and perfect for Vegas. I still love the Casablanca, too, though. It’s so elegant! The DB is not my taste at all. Plus, you’ve got a nice shape, and that dress does nothing to highlight it. It makes your chest and shoulders look big (they’re not!), and it does nothing to show off your waist.

Out of the three, the short one is the most awesomely Vegas. I also think the original one from your friend would still be fine. Because honestly, since when is anything about being appropriate?
To be fair, I don’t care for the third. That might just be me though.

@noritake22: Thank you! It has been SO hard to make a decision! I’m glad we can finally move forward with planning! I love the fun shoe idea! I was about to post a pic of my faves, but I think they might actually be the same ones as your pic! Either that or they are very similar! 🙂

I love the Ella Rose short one but why not take the free dress and shorten it? It has the same sweetheart neck as the ella rose and the same fabric. Just add a sparkely sash and it could look very similar to the ella rose but for much cheaper.

@miss.skinner: That’s a great idea! I wonder if the original owner would be ok with that… I don’t see why not, but I wonder if I should run it by her?

i like the first one best. the second one is cute but i’d make sure to try it on and decide if you look good in a short dress. i think you only get married once and you might regret not having the big long wedding dress! I’d go with the first one!
