BakerBee16:  Lesson learned for your FBIL. I can’t imagine paying anyone for anything without getting a receipt.

Yup, bees, this is exactly what vendors/friendors are warning you might happen when they send emails saying they aren’t pros, don’t have contracts, and suggesting you look elsewhere if you want anything like that. 

Dang, OP, sorry to hear it but very glad you saw the red flags so you’re able to deal w this now instead of it only coming up as he was supposed to start playing on your big day.
