I had a PP about how my thank you cards were a little “late” and I finally sent them out today! http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/long-but-worth-the-read-etiquette-bees-unite-help
These were worth the wait, and those who may not know, the “photo style thank you card” is custom in MY area of New York, and in the social/family circles we have. Everyone saves them in his large family, and his family made up 3/4 of the wedding. It feels like a mini-recap album we get to share! So far I’ve gotten rave reviews (my co-workers who came I hand delivered today). They keep showing it off to people!
There is a written message for everyone, and then on the right side we hand-wrote a special thank you for each person (to make it more personalized).
I found the most amazing vendor on Etsy for these, who made these with so many custom options and designs and papers! This is on recycled paper! 🙂 if you’re interested I’ll tell ya!
I just wanted to thank all the etiquette savy bees, and those who pushed me and put me in my place for waiting so long! I could have easily had these done earlier!
not sure how the resolution is on this, I sent it from phone – to email – to here.
Even though I know most of you have different views of thank-you’s, I just wanted to show you mine and hope you like it!

@BellaDee: Glad I am not the only one! We just got our photo thank you cards ordered and now I need to write the thank you notes on them and send them out!

@Sea_Ashley: I see everyones side now that it’s done, I feel so stupid that I waited so long when it took a total of 2 weeks to pick photos I wanted, e-mailing back and forth about design, and her sending them.
To defend myself, though, I was in an emotionally weird place, and I guess I just eliminate things and procrastinate as a way of coping or just preventing myself from stressing out. I equal ANYTHING wedding with stress…so I just put it off. I wish I hadn’t because I would have loved to have these sooner!
In the end though, I learned my lesson!

These look great! I thought it might be too late if I waited for my pro pics back – so we sent just regular thank you cards within the month after the wedding and we’re going to do photo cards for Christmas this year.

@BellaDee: Don’t feel TOO bad (like me, lol). They are sent and that is what counts. We are actually sending our’s this week as well :/.
Things have been rocky and we sure did a lot of procrastinating, but alas!
This is the week. Lol
Settling into married life and all, most people are understanding. It’s not like it was a year later or anything, hehe 😉

haha wow, well considering some of the feed back I got on my original thread, I felt like I was the only one! (Although I did receieve a thank you from a wedding a year later) I also didn’t get a card at ALL from a wedding we went to last June, so I figured I couldn’t be that horrible. But coulda been better.
Yes! She has many variations, the shop name is ‘GwenMarieDesigns’ on etsy. here’s the link:
Seriously so happy with the way it came out.

My wedding thank you cards took 4 months to go out. I had 3 photos and some edits on a 5×7 card. I had a pre-printed message and I also wrote an additional message. I wanted to get them out within 3 months but I had problems with my photography company and then when I received the card the printer chopped off my husbands head (an additional 10 day delay). I think any thank you photo card should be sent within 6 months.
