I literally have chills. So happy for you guys!!! I hope he continues to get help. There is a man in my neighborhood who has a PTSD device dog which is such an amazing option and maybe something that might help your family.

I’m so glad to hear!  I don’t know if I remember your story or not, but being a former employee of the VA (benefits side) for nearly 10 years, it makes me glad to see VA do something right to take care of our veteran and families.  I know they’ve dropped the ball at times and also get a bad rap in the media (sometimes rightfully so).  So to hear that VA has done it right, both the exam contractor and the actual regional office, makes me so happy especially for the two of you!  I imagine you’d rather he not have PTSD obviously, but at least he is getting something in return for his service.
