First of all – YAY YOU ARE NOT CRAZY!  With that said though, it was really nice of your Future Brother-In-Law to apologize and it sounds like he is sincere and wants to make things better between you and his family.  This is great news!  I really hope you can all work through this and have a good relationship in the future!

That is awesome. I know it doesn’t make everything perfect, but it sounds like it’s a huge relief to understand what’s really been going on. It takes time for some people to mature and accept responsibility, and it sounds like he’s getting to that point, which will be great. I hope things keep getting better!

wow! That is a great start and it show that he is already maturing a bit if he can admit he was wrong!

Woo hoo!! Nice to know that some of the young folks, sometimes, actually admit to their own problems while growing up. It sucks at times, and admitting it is hard to do! Hopefully things will straighten out a bit soon. It’s awesome that he was man enough to have that little chat. Fingers crossed for you. 🙂

I think the fact that he wants to take some of the blame is a good sign that he wants to mend things too. He might not have wanted to “believe” that you were going to really be in your FH’s life forever and now i regretting the choices he made to make things so diifficult. I agree that it is going to take a long time to mend but I think he is showing you that me might be ready to start mending it too. Keep us posted!

Aww, that is such a sweet story. I wish more teens were like that. (ahem ahem!) Hopefully my Future Sister-In-Law will one day follow this example and stop being rude and inconsiderate. One can hope! 😛

Wow, good news! I’m so happy for you. I read your other post and I felt so terrible for you. It sounded like the situation was putting such a huge strain on you. It’s amazing that he would apologize like that! Keep us posted as relations with the ILs develop.

Wow. Not to sound suspicious, but I wonder what happened to fuel the change of heart.

@misshelen i almost mentioned that too! I hope he doesn’t have any ulterior motives- i would still keep an eye on him and not be too trustworthy until time shows he can be trusted!
