Good for you! Glad you were able to get something so last-minute! Hope you come back and post a recap. Congrats!

this is the greatest news! congrats on getting everything sorted out, it will be a beautiful day! have the weather reports changed for you yet?

Someone who is diabetic would plan to make sure they are taken care of, obviously not everywhere they go in life can accomodate them.
We have let everyone know it is a dessert reception in the emails we sent out, the text we sent said everything else was still the same. Just can’t swing food plus the venue. And now we are closer in town where they can go get something at a restaurant if they want it.
It is still 40% chance, a little less than before. The park and the new venue are over an hour apart though so we can’t do both even if the weather is good.

Thank god for the BEE and saving you on this one!
I didn’t end up using the venues and ideas you guys gave me. I would have switched the location anyway when I saw the rain forecast.
Yay! Can’t wait to see your recap!
your response to @swizzle is flat out rude. you were practically begging for help last week. and now the bee didnt do anything for you? you decided to change the venue only because of rain? okay. enjoy…
and, you can still get some cold cut sandwiches, or do chips and salsa, veggie platters and fruit for under $200-$300. it’s dinner time, and they all have to eat before 430 or after what, 7 or 8?

wow I agree…that was rude, you came on here begging us for ideas and for help and you got TONS…but now all of a sudden your taking credit and that you would have changed it anyway? your idea for rain was having everyone show up to your original venue with umbrellas and buying tents from kmart. im so done with your posts…..unbelieveable!!!!

OP, I’m glad you found a venue and everything sounds like it’s working out. However, you need to give credit where credit is due. The BEE saved your butt. Even if you didn’t use the one venue suggested, people gave you lots of advice and ideas and got you on the right track.
ETA: I just saw the PP, and um, I was the one who came up with the idea for tents from Kmart – so she didn’t even come up with that one on her own.

@blueskies7 and others:
As the poster who found that 1 other venue, I didn’t take any offense to OP’s last post. Maybe I’m just reading it differently than you all, but I didn’t see it as rude.
While it would be rude to not acknowledge anyone’s help, its equally rude to demand acknowledgement.
Whatever OP says, I’m just hoping she posts a recap. I don’t think I’ve ever become this fascinated by a bee’s story before.

You were SOOOO helpful! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Seriously! You were so KIND and nice too, which you know what? Is even more valuable than helpful.

I didn’t find OP’s comment to be rude either, although I found quite a few of the responses on her earlier thread to be rude, so I guess I must be inferring a different tone when I read comments… chalk it up to the pitfalls of the internet? I too am happy she is keeping us updated & I for one am rooting for her to have a fabulous wedding!

Whew! I was worried for you. May you truly enjoy yoursef on your wedding day.

Somthing about this OP bugs me…. like the posts are intentional to get everyone wound up.
