I posted months ago about how I got my weddingband and tried it on with my engagement ring. They wouldnt fit. One ring was fine, but both NO.
Well now, months later, I went in today to get them resized. I put them both on to show the jeweler and bam, they both fit!! What the?!
They fit fine now. Apparently its normal for your fingers to change size. She said that in the morning somtimes, she cant get her rings on, and then later in the day they fit. And other days her fingers are so small that her rings fall off.
So she said to wait about mid September and see if they fit. If not then come in. It only takes a week for them to resize rings.
Well thats my little adventure with my rings. Hope some bees were helped by this posting. Crazy…..

This actually happens to me all the time. My hands are often so swollen in the AM, also to the point where I can’t get my rings off. But towards the afternoon they fit perfectly!
Glad they fit better now!

Wow… well… YAY fitting? 😀
I can only think of one day when my ering was way too tight – it was in the morning, I figured I’d just eaten too much salty food the day before.

I dont even know if I want to resize at all now. If my fingers do change, then the rings will really fall off! lol So confusing. Im wondering if I tried my rings on during my priod when I tried them on last year. U know water retention and all. Hmmmm…..
Im just hoping they fit on my wedding day!!

@Earlybride: I gained about 15 lbs this past year. By the time FH got my ring, I was no longer the size I thought I was! I’m trying to lose weight, so waiting to see if that ringchub will go away or if I should have it resized. Otherwise, come summer, my ring will definitely not fit!!

Pretty crazy, huh? These kind of sizing shenanigans are why I can never solder my rings together. Some mornings I can only get them off one at a time, other times they spin around my finger like a hula hoop.

I have a few different rings for this reason. my wedding set is size 6.5 and I do wear it most days of the year.
but every now and then, I feel super puffy. or sometimes I have an eczema breakout so I have a few inexpensive size 7 rings that I choose from. one is stainless steel and plain, one is a sterling eternity ring with CZ stones (in case I need a comfortable ring but still want some glam). they are way more comfortable in these situations.
anyway, Too Much Information. but my point is that after the initial excitement of your wedding set wears off, you might be open to getting some alternative rings for your “puffy” days.
