I am happy your relationship is getting better and your two are finding your way back. It is hard not to step into the mother role when you see someone not reaching their full potential. I am glad you see that you have a responsibility in what was affecting your relationship.

I have learned that men have the same needs we have they need to be accepted, loved, and told how proud of them you are. They only difference is we have to remember that they are just as sensitive as we are.

Society has given us a false sense of what a man should or shouldnt be in a relationship. When  they are valued and appreciated the relationships are the stronger because we give them a safe place to land.

When they come home they should be able to let their guard down and just be vulnerable if they need too and it be accepted by us as their partner.

CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS

That’s really great. Have you read The Five Love Languages? It was really helpful for my husband and I to learn what we need from each other. We do the Love Languages devotional every night before we go to sleep.

@Birdee106:  +1 on 5 Love Languages. It is so good and helpful on understanding on how each spouse interprets love.
