Really glad to hear it’s all going well in the new room. I know your daughter is going to thrive and grow so much in there.

Your dd is adorable! Glad to hear she’s enjoying her new friends in the toddler room!  I’m jealous about the bottle to sippy transition being so easy.  I’ve made a few attempts to start the transition (dd will be 1 in a couple weeks), but she won’t have it.

I am a Toddler Teacher and I just had to laugh at this: “I don’t know how they manage to get 12 toddlers down to nap at the same time, but hey, that’s why they get paid the big bucks.” If only you knew how much we make…lets just say you have to reallllly love your job to stick around! (I made more as a cashier at Sams Club than I do changing, feeding, teaching, putting 14 toddlers to sleep, and cleaning & planning curriculum on a daily basis, haha)  :)<br />

iarebridezilla:  Yay for your Dear Daughter and her great adjustment to school changes. I think it’s always been harder for me than for my daughter whenever these sorts of life changes roll around. My Dear Daughter is going to start middle school next year, and I’m already freaking out about it. It’s a year away!! LOL I’m a total nut-case.

And I had to post, also, to say your little girl is so, so, so ADORABLE!! Love that sweet little smile. Makes me want to give her a hug through the internet.

iarebridezilla:  Yay for a great transition!  I just had to chime in that I used to work at a daycare, and honestly it was part voodoo to get those tots down for their nap.  I don’t know what it is, but somehow having a group all having to lay down on their cots at the same time makes it easier??? They look around make sure everyone else is playing along with the whole naptime concept, and of course shusshing the noisy ones, and magically most if not all just fall asleep with the quiet/dark/comfy!!

iarebridezilla:  Hello! I work at a kindergarten with 16 1-2 year olds in my class. We combine with the older 2-3 year old class for nap and afternoon snack + playtime. We usually manage to get all 22 kids in the room to sleep within 30 minutes! The younger class goes very quickly (within 10 when they’re settled into the class). Even if they tantrum and squirm at the beginning of the year, we swaddle them tightly and shush them until they run out of steam! It really, really helps if you can schedule your weekend naps to be in synch with the kindergarten.

As for little kids playing with big kids, I’ve seen a tiny 15 month play with the 3 year olds. It’s more about their personality than age. The shy little ones will always keep to thenselves.

Glad she’s doing well! Trust the teachers and ask them anything to feel reassured!

iarebridezilla:  Yay!! Way to go babyzilla! That must take a lot off your mind to have her just decide to be a big girl on her own. How funny is it that things just work themselves out like that. Glad she’s doing well and damn, she really does get cuter every time you post a pic! If she’s ever pissy, send her on over, I’ll squish her little cheecks til she’s happy haha!!

Ummm how on earth is she 1 year (years? year?) old already!!!  So glad everything went well with the transition to the “big kids.”

PS Where did you get the fleece top?  I’m on the hunt for warm baby clothes and all I can find are t-shirts or $30 sweaters.  I barely spend $30 on a sweater for myself, let alone my 6 month old.

iarebridezilla:   I’m SOOO glad to read your update and to hear that everything is going well. (I knew it would, but I’m glad you confirmed!) Aubrey is just adorable!

The original plan was for DS to move up in January, but since he’s been walking for a month and he’s almost running at this point, plus they’re getting a crop of new babie, they asked if they could move him up early.

I said “hell yes!” I’m just as scared as they are that he’s going to bash some poor baby on the head when he does his patented “lets see how far and hard I can throw this ‘ANYTHING IN MY HAND'”.

I think he’s making the move the end of October. He self weaned off bottles and has dropped his 2nd nap about 75% of the time, so he’s ready. I’ll let you know how it goes!
