- Wedding: April 2012
So I had posted that I wanted an after wedding wedding dress to wear to the Casinos after our Las Vegas wedding (we are locals) so that I would not ruin/get smokey/etc my wedding dress and shoes. So I was playing around on ebay and clicked “make an offer” for fun on a Mori Lee dress for $100
It came and was in near perfect condition with the bustle already added. The only flaw is a small rip in the top tulle layer where one of the bustle loops is sewn. The dress was much more of a ballgown than I expected but very pretty . . .
I am holding the dress closed because it is a bit small
Here is the veil that goes with it – excuse the messy hair room etc . . .
OK so while I think this is very pretty it was not exactly what I had in mind
So I made another $100 offer on an Alfred Angelo 1807 and it came today
it is in pristine perfect brand new condition. I do not believe it has ever been tried on at all. It is a bit snug but I had lost 15 lbs before Christmas (this was not due to the engagement but it is weight I had gained after a bad car wreck and determined to get it all off) and will lose the other 15lbs soon . . .
So I think this is a winner – love it 🙂
and the back
So here are my tips for finding great bargains . . .
Go try on dresses first, know what you like and what styles work on your body
Know your measurements and do not buy a dress that you cannot check at least the manufacturer guidelines.
Set a reasonable budget and do not spend it all on one dress – Mine was $500 for my “After Wedding” dress and so far spent $200 leaving room to pay for alterations.

And there is always an element of luck 🙂
