I voted for the third cruise.  I went on a 7 day cruise in December and we stopped at Cozumel and Belize City.  I was not too imressed with Belize City.  Granted, I was finally getting over the dreaded norovirus so we had to cancel our excursion and we just walked around the little port area.  I think that St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Turks and Caicos would be a lot more fun than the other stops and, from what I hear, more beautiful stops.  I guess it depends on what you are into though.  I know when we stopped at Cozumel, it seemed that half the people boarded the boat after a full day of drinking.  Not that there is anything wrong with that, but my Fiance and I wanted a more romantic and relaxing under the sun vacation.

I guess it depends on what you want to do. Look up what excursions you can go on at each of the ports and go from there. The Fiance and I are scuba divers, so we steer clear of St. Thomas because we have been there before and the diving isn’t that spectacular. We are going on a 14-day cruise around the Carribean for our honeymoon and unfortunately it docks at St. Thomas twice. We are probably just going to stay on the boat because we don’t really like St. Thomas much. St. Maarten and the Bahamas are fun though!

I voted for #2 although I’m not a Bahamas fan. I went once and this summer’s cruise, I’ll stay on the ship at this port.lol

I was thinking #1 and you could use the extra money you saved from the others and do some amazing excursions and enjoy your trip with a little extra luxury!

I’m sure whatever you pick will be incredible! Enjoy 🙂

I voted #1 because I’ve been to the grand caymons and cozumel on a cruise. It was absolutely beautiful. I have about 100 pictures of the water alone because it was such a unique color. I wanted to jump right off the boat! We did a sting ray swim in the grand caymons and it was absolutely scary to me because me and big animals don’t get along very well, but I will say I made most of the problem up in my own head!

The second reason I say #1 is because it looks exactly like the other two options for a lot less. That leaves more money for excursions!

@cmills: Do you have your scuba certification? If you don’t, get it before going on the cruise! Those places a terrible for getting certified and it just eats up a whole day where you could be looking at fish instead of practicing how to blow bubbles under the water.

You can always snorkel, which doesn’t require scuba diving certifcation!

Well, I can’t give too much information (I’ve only been to Grand Cayman and Cozumel from all the islands included) but I can say that Cozumel has the most amazing water I’ve ever seen, and Grand Cayman is a SUPER cute little island. Honestly, I think you’ll be really happy with any of them that you go to, and I think if I were in your position I would choose the first one since it is so much cheaper and you could use the extra money for excursions and other things.

Oops terrible as in EXPENSIVE. Not as in a bad learning environment. 🙂

But snorkeling doesn’t require scuba certifications and is really funny too! Plus some places let you rent those power snorkel machines so you can blast through the water. I love those things.

I’d do the cheapest one. In my experience, most tropical locations are pretty much the same, especially since you’ll be sleeping on the ship.

I would go with the 3rd cruise. I have been on the 1st cruise you posted, and I wasn’t that impressed with the western caribbean.
