If you are more beach people then go with either the 2nd or 3rd.  If you are looking for more adventure/exploring/history go with #1.  We LOVE the western Caribbean so much we are getting married in the Riviera Maya.  Fell in love with the area on our first cruise together.

This past January I was on the Carnival cruise line with an itinerary similar to your #1. We stopped in all of those ports. I absolutely loved ISLA ROATAN in Honduras. It is a relatively new port and the island is soooooo pristine. It’s very jungly. We didn’t stay in Belize City, we took an excursion to an archeological site on the border of Belize and Guatemala (I’m a nerd) and it was beautiful! I love the people of Belize. I love Cozumel. It is totally just a beach island and there is so much to do! The beach at Grand Cayman (7 mile beach) is awesome.

One sad thing I need to mention is that I am not happy with the Carnival line. Most of the crew were rude and the daily happenings on the ship did not go so smooth. I spoke with some other passengers and they agreed this wasn’t the most enjoyable cruise they had been on. Some people thought it was the specific boat/crew itself. They told me that other Carnival lines were great. This was my first Carnival cruise. Usually, I go with Princess and the quality of that cruise line is obviously noticeable.I have found out that there is def. a difference in quality among cruise lines.

Other things happened on this trip. We had a balcony room and there were people all around us smoking at all hours on the balcony. We are non-smokers and we couldn’t even enjoy our balcony we paid considerably more for! Carnival has no non-smoking rooms! Also, the weather was bad. This is not the cruise line’s fault. Most of our excursions in the sea were cancelled due to rough seas.

So, I love the first itinerary and the others sound great, as well. I know that everyone has a different experience when cruising, and I am sorry to tell you my bad experience with Carnival. Whichever cruise you decide I hope you have an awesome one!
