She didn’t follow the inspo pics at all! She made it all smooth looking instead of loose and did a weird elongated bun thing. I think your hair down looks really nice and probably has more potential of getting it right!

I think what you did with your hair looks great & suits the style of your dress really well.

I really do not like what she did at all. If you do an updo, I would suggest finding a different stylist because she’s not seeing your vision. I like it half-up, though.

I would DEFINITELY go with a different stylist.  To me those pictures really clearly communicate what you were looking for.  If there was some reason why that wasn’t possible she should have communicated that to you before styling her hair.  What was your conversation like after she finished?  I had a hair trial this weekend and the stylist was VERY communicative.  She kept asking me what I thought of things at different stages and whether there was anything I wanted to change.  Did she ask you?  And if so, were you honest about how off it was?  I don’t know you need to change your style, more likely the stylist.

I did a half updo and wish I would have put it all up. It just got messy looking, the curls started to fall out because it was humid, I felt like I had to fixing it all the time. I put it up myself at the reception because I was so annoyed with it lol.

I think you should try someone else. The pictures you provided were pretty easy and self-explanatory. If she couldn’t follow your instructions I’d be afraid that would be the case on my special day as well. As for the up/down dilemma I’m voting for down because that’s what I tend to prefer but I think either would look gorgeous with your dress. To be honest I’m not really a fan of how she did your hair in the picture but I think if she (or a different stylist) followed your instructions it would be beautiful either way!
