I’m trying to get a handle on what I should expect to pay for a wedding updo. I have sticker shock, but I’m probably going to have to just get over it.
Also, was the trial included in your price, or did you pay the same price twice for a trial?

the salon that will be doing mine charges $50, so I’m paying twice for the same thing, $100 total, so the trial is $50 and the day of is $50.

mine is $150 + $100 for trial

Mine is $100 for day-of including the veil fitting. It was $40 for the trial. That price doesn’t include the tip either!

When I was still working in a salon, I charged $85 for the bride’s day-of updo, and the trial was extra. Usually $50-$65 depending on how intricate the updo was (more difficult=more time), ’cause you’re basically paying for the stylist’s time and talent with an updo.

Mine is $55 including trial!
I am shocked at how much people are paying to get their hair done! I am just going to my regular hair dresser!

My trial was $45 and the day of updo is $95. It’s also in the city though which jacks up the price.

My trial is $75 and my updo is $75. Sticker shock for me, but this was my best option since it was very very tough to find a salon that was open on a Sunday. The salon I am working with is also a no tipping salon so that will help financially.

same for makeup.

I am getting mine cheap because I am a hairstylist and having my former co-worker do it. But I used to charge $55 and $25 for trial. The salon always wanted me to charge more though. One girl charged someone $130 once!
