Darling Husband and I have been discussing for a while now my ‘upgrade’ for my wedding set. I currently have a 1 carat moissanite in wg with a diamond band in wg. I love my rings, but they feel far too large for my hand, and I don’t like stones over 1/2 carat for the most part (on ME). So my ‘upgrade’ will be to a new ring/band, but in a smaller carat size.
I found the PERFECT set, in my size, vintage (from 1920s-30s) in yellow gold with a 1/5 carat diamond and flower detailing on the ring and band. The band/ring are already soldered together. I am so excited I can hardly stand it!
When we initially discussed getting engaged, I shied away from a smaller center stone and yellow gold because my mother was against it (she has her own ring regret because of that). But now, I’m having regret because I have a wedding set that would more appropriately fit HER, to be honest, LOL.
The best part is that the ring and band are a great price, so it is easily affordable! Now, I have no idea if Darling Husband will actually get this set for me (if he doesn’t, I’m fine with the set I have now…but I usually just wear a plain yg band day to day, which is why I wanted a smaller diamond), but if he doesn’t I may just buy it myself because it’s so beautiful.
Did anyone else upgrade to a different metal/smaller center stone (ANY center stone, of course)?
