I know that some bees have both and have upgraded from one to the other so hopefully they come along to help!

I have the Forever One and it’s super white. If that’s what you’re lookingfor, you will get that with this stone. I can’t speak as to whether its “worth it” though!

Hope you find your answers!

angelpixxi:  Sadly I don’t have either but from what I have seen and heard the F1 is a lot more whiter than the FB. If your after a whiter stone then I would say this is the way to go.

Being in the UK did you get your Moissanite from the U.S. or here? I know you can get the Classic moissanite and the FB here but the stores here don’t seem to do the F1. So you will most likely need to import and pay all the fees and such. I think it’ll vary on prices to reset it but I would personally go with a more smaller or private jewellers than those on the high street, particularly fraser hart (had nothing but lies and mess ups from them). I can’t imagine it being too much.

I would also recommend the Amora gem if your after something colourless and its cut is more diamond like. But to each his own on preference. Plus there’s a European store that’ll save you on all the fees and such.

Just to add, the last time I had a loose centre stone in London at a local fine jeweller, it cost around £50. I’m not sure if this matters but the ring was platinum and the setting was a double halo for a 8.5mm moissy cushion.

I wouldn’t advise going to a chain-jewellers like Erbest Jones/goldsmiths etc as they are sceptical about working with moissanites and they quote a fortune!

hope this helps

hello

I live in Europe amd recently got engaged.I’m looking for a perfect stone for my ring and will have it set by our family jeweller.

I’m thinking of getting moissanite but not sure if i should buy FB or F1.

Actually I’m not impressed with F1 so far. Most of the stones i see here looks glassy or have an fish eye ( annoying black spot in the centre). They remind me of CZ- way too white and quite flat.I haven’t seen many videos of them tho

Don’t know what to think about FB moissy. It looks beautiful and more sparkly than F1 but we don’t get many sunny days here and I’m afraid it might look yellow on a cloudy day (read: most of the time)

Not sure what to do?

(excuse my english, yes i know it’s poor..)

bluehope:  I found a few places that sell moissanite in Uk but the choice of ring settings is very small and all the settings look very cheap.

Any shops that you can recommend for buying a FB moissy?

I have a FB moissy and I love the little bit of warmth and moodiness it has in certain lights.  It’s set in rose gold so I find it so beautiful and romantic.  I honestly don’t think I would go for a F1 even without the extra cost.  I think the FB has a little more personality ๐Ÿ™‚

Medeah:  I have seen Classic moissanite and FB moissanite for sale online for the UK but I haven’t seen the forever one though. Plus like you said their settings are pretty limiting.

angelpixxi:  what size are you after and do you need it as immediately? And personally I’ve never seen a Amora gem look plastic, I’ve also seen people who own one comment on this and say it’s either exceptionally rare or doesn’t ever happen.

Amora-gems.com is the European version and is based I believe in the Czech Republic, hence why the English isnt perfect. And the reason why they don’t have more in stock is because it’s just been Christmas, a lot of stats got sold. Though they have already started to try and restock from looking. And I can recommend them because I am currently working with them and I’m living in the UK. They are custom making my ring with a 1.53ct, G colour, vs1 Amora gem that I got to select and should hopefully have it this week:

Except it’ll be in Rose gold. Sadly they can be at times hard to find in particular stats because there are only so many want them and not enough of them. But so far they have been fantastic in sorting out my ring and very helpful! And since they are in the UK then you don’t get charged with import, sales and duty fees so you save yourself hundreds compared to ordering in from the U.S. I will have to post a picture when I get it!
