Before I started looking at honeymoons, I really like the idea of upgrading the room to an Ocean View room. I know different places have different names for it but I want a room that is right on the beach or at least facing the beach.
I know I heard people say that you are hardly in your room for cruises… does this apply if you go to an all inclusive on land?
I don’t know.
I guess I’m stuck right now at whether to have 7 days at a resort in a regular room or 5/6 days in an upgraded room??
As you can see from the all the posts on this board, I got honeymoon on my mind and I don’t know what to do. Kinda freaking out. Maybe because I just figure out what date would be best to go on our honeymoon. April 14-21. Yeah, so I gotta get something planned.
Ok, gotta breathe…

You know, we had a room that was “supposed” to have a view of the ocean but the damn palm trees were so high you could BAAARELY see it.
Personally I just go with the affordable rooms. Now if you can upgrade to a HOT TUB, that’s where I’d do it. We found it super relaxing to share a big ole bath tub with bubbles and jets and read our books and sip wine.
I’d go with 7 days in a regular room–honestly I don’t think the ‘view’ is THAT big of a deal. We were right in site to watch the weddings on the beach tho and that was kinda fun! But i’d rather have another day or two than a good view.

I’m with ejs I always pick another day in a lower level room as compared to an ocean view. Who knows, maybe you’ll get lucky and catch an upgrade upon check in. I know it’s not something to count on but it happened to me on Spring break in college and our view was great since the resort was overbooked.
