We’re doing uplighting simply because I want to add a bit more drama to the reception and it’s fairly inexpensive to add on to the DJ package we want.

We had uplighting and we also had pin lighting in each of our centerpieces. The room looked great.

@sharontobemarried:  Our building is 40×60 feet, but, we are planning on having them about 8 ft apart, if we did end up putting them the standard 10 ft apart, we’d use the rest for highlight certain things, or maybe under the cake table.

@RentMyWedding:  We are! I saw pictures of our venue with uplighting and absolutely loved it! It also helped that our DJ offered up unlimited lights for an extra $150! Even if he hadn’t offered that great deal I would have shopped around and figured out a way to do it.

My fiance saw pictures of our venue with uplighting and loved it. He hasnt wanted much for our wedding so when he said “that looks cool” I knew we had to have them. I love them too. They help incorporate our wedding colors

Fiance works in lighting, so we are definitely going to! Not sure what/how, though. But if it’s in the budget, we want to make it as awesome as possible.

I showed my Fiance a picture of uplighting and I turned him into a monster!  We got a pretty nice deal on it thought through the company we are using for our DJ and photobooth.  I think we are paying something like $599 for 12-14 lights (I cannot remember the exact amount but the owner of the company did a walk through with me before we finalized the contract so he could nail down just how many lights we needed to do wihat we wanted).
