I have the option of being upgraded to a larger ballroom for our reception… The room is a lot larger than our original. We are having about 130pp and the room can hold up to 350pp I am now considering uplighting and draping to fill the room and help create a “look” I was quoted about $900 for 16 uplights and drapes. I don’t know what they typically run…I was wondering if it is a good price. And thoughts on uplighting…?

We offer uplighting for $19/uplight, and that includes free shipping both ways. The website is http://www.RentMyWedding.com. That would come out to $304 for your room. Draping is definitely nice, but you could also consider going without since uplighting provides such a “wow” effect all on its own 🙂 Here is one of my fav examples of before and after uplighting … hope this helps!

That’s about what we’re paying for uplights and NO draping. Part of the cost is that you’ll have someone setting it all up for you and that’s a big one for us, we considered going a DIY route but we don’t want to be responsible for setup or not creating a fire LOL.

No fire hazards with LED uplights Gotta love technology…the LEDs stay cool all night and don’t blow fuses. 75 LED uplights = 1 blow dryer
