You won’t know anything until you try them on. Get whichever you love which is most flattering on you.

your time line will be the crunch- unless you can buy the sample at a store.  But to let you you know I bought a dress from dressily.com – one of the offshore places with great reviews- and it came in less than five weeks.  Ordered on August 29- it was at the house Sept, 17 – just another option

Okay, I’ll be honest: I’d LOOOOOVE to see you in a rusched, trumpet-style dress. Preferably a dress with a lot of “structure” on top in order to accentuate your figure and play down any flaws you think you may have (let’s get real; everyone thinks they have figure flaws, and I’m over it! LOL). There are about a million trumpet-style dresses in various colors and shapes (and price points), and you’d look fantastic in one. If you’re feeling anxious, David’s will sell you one off the rack. Or….look for a trunk show in your area – one that’s happening in the next month or so to allow time for alterations, or….I saw one at White House/Black Market for under $1,000 (like $675 or something) and it was simply gorgeous.

    Good luck!

My vote’s on the BC386. You’ve enough up top to balance the bum focus, so to speak! It’d be lovely on you.

They are both gorgeous, so I don’t think you could go wrong with either of them.

1st, both gowns are beautiful and I think either decision will be a solid one.  2nd, stop the negative body issue comments – you are beautiful and would be beautiful even if you didn’t loose any weight.  PErsonally, I LOVE the style of the second gown – it is more unique in my mind and I can picture you looking great in it.

I agree that you should try some dresses on, but I’d guess a trumpet would look amazing on you!

Also, I LOVE the idea of a surprise wedding… I kind of wish we were able to do that.  Good luck!

I am curvy also, and the princess style dress made me look huge. I ended up with a dress that is called “modified A-line,” an A line skirt with a slight taper below the hip. Go to David’s and just try some styles on to see which shape you look best in.
