- Wedding: June 2013
I am (finally) in the accessorizing stage of putting my look together.
I have fallen in LOVE with a headpiece which is expensive (not a huge problem, I just picked up a few more hours at work that will equal the cost of the headpiece) and a tiny bit over the top, but my dress is SUPER DUPER simple, so I need something that will dress it up a bit.
Here is a picture of me in my dress:
I am getting a custom overskirt made that will be like this but in off-white (I’ll wear the overskirt for *some* of the event — likely the ceremony, and take it off later)
Here is the general “feel” of our wedding (our centerpiece, bridesmaid dresses, and venue)
The shoes I plan to get:
I *may* get a shoe clip to go with it but I’m still undecided about this. Any input would be appreciated.
And finally, the piece de resistance, the hairpiece. PLEASE let me know what you think. It is pretty wild, but SOOOOO freaking pretty. And to justify the cost ($400), we are having 2 weddings (1 in NY, 1 in Turkey) so I *will* wear it more than once.
Also, as mentioned, I did pick up about $400 worth of extra work right before the wedding, so it’s paid for unexpectedly. 😉
But, please be honest, do you think it’s “too much” (meaning, the look).
And for reference, here is a picture of me at our city hall ceremony (I get that some people have the right face for different kinds of hair pieces, etc.).
Thoughts? Input? Empowerment?
