I have a floor sample dress that will be done with alterations a week before the wedding. I would like to get it cleaned, but at the very least I need it to be steamed/pressed. Can anyone please recommend someone who has a quick turnaround and has experience with wedding dresses , i.e. won’t ruin it and leave me without a dress days before the wedding?

I’d call bridal shops in your area and see if they do it or would recommend someone to do it. Not sure where you are – but I just bought my dress from Yelena Bridal in Monrovia (awesome shop) and my consultant had come in on her day off to press a dress for a bride…. so, I know they do it and I’d totally trust them.

I’m a big fan of Peter’s Magnolia Cleaners: http://www.petersmagnoliacleaners.com/
I usually send delicate/beaded/vintage items for work to them. Or if your dress is being altered at a bridal shop they can often steam/press for you?!
Good luck! 🙂

Thank you for the suggestions. An independent seamstress is working on my dress and she’s not much help 🙁 She’s a high profile Beverly Hills seamstress with a matching attitude and price tag (I had to beg to be squeezed in her schedule given what little time I have) so she’s providing no additional services.

I bought my dress in San Diego and had to get it pressed in Santa Monica (where I live.) I took it to Dina’s Bridal Shop.
Gina (Dina’s daughter) took care of me. My dress looked amazing and I had it back in plenty of time for my wedding. She can probably recommend a good place for cleaning too.
