Tried to buy 2 wedding dresses there (they ship to Holland) but the transaction wouldn’t go through because my billing address or whatever did not match. Tried 4 times and everytime, I had this message so I decided not to buy the dresses.
Then, I am told (by my Dad who received text messages from the bank) that I have been charged 4 times. I never got an email confirmation from The Limited and heck, even now, those dresses are still in my shopping basket so it definitely didn’t go through.
Bank says the easiest way is to get the merchant to reverse the charge (alternative is I can dispute it but this takes 60 days 0_0 ). Contacted The Limited to solve this problem (their payment system is really sh***y. The whole system is- for example, it didn’t recognize certain signs in addresses like “/” or “#” etc.). They tell me they are not allowed to call/fax international numbers (i.e. the bank).
Uhm hello?! You cater to international customers but cannot cater to their needs? Why bother going international then?!
So here I am at 2.15a.m., feeling very iritated as I have to pay $400 for items I will never receive (as the order didn’t go through, even The Limited doesn’t have it so they are not even sending it to me and in any event, I do not even want those dresses anymore). Yes, I can dispute this but it will take time, I will have to pay the bill first and it will cost me a fee to dispute the charges. I have already called internationally (I’m in Europe and I had to call the US and Asia) a number of times. I can only imagine how many more hoops I have to jump to get this solved.
