We had a great time in Savannah, GA with our dogs. We rented a dog friendly AirBnB. There is a lot to do and see there.

Like a PP, I was also going to suggest Eureka Springs, AR! We stayed there last summer and it was stellar — great food, interesting history, beautiful nature, quirky and hip vibe. We stayed in a Eureka Zen cottage and it was lovely: http://www.eurekazen.com/Eurekazen/index.html

I second Door County, WI. It is gorgeous up there.

They’re beautiful and I recommend Asheville as well.  Beautiful, romantic, and so many outdoor activities.

Your dogs are so cute 🙂  If you’re truly willing to drive a little ways, Biloxi in the gulf is gorgeous! It looks like a 10 hr according to google. Theres so many sweet little airbnbs down that way too that would give you privacy.

mrsyoung18 :  It’s really hit or miss depending on the area. It’s crazy how you can trace the path of the fire from the trees and bushes. The chalet we rented for our honeymoon was completely destroyed whereas one next door was completely untouched about 30 yards away  Overall I’d say it’s still very pretty and some areas you can’t even tell anything happened.
